CK Public Health has issued a swimming advisory for Getty's Beach (Wheatley pier), Erieau Public Beach, Howard Township Beach, and Mitchell's Bay Beach due to elevated E. Coli bacteria levels. Clearville, Pier Road, and Bates beaches tested low and remain safe for swimming.

A concerned group of residents held an information session on Taylor Avenue regarding building owner Foundation Capital's proposal to reconfigure apartments and add 28 units. The hearing is moving to a settlement at the Ontario Land Tribunal, leaving affected families worried about potential N13 eviction notices.

Chatham-Kent Police Service has inked an agreement with the St. Clair Catholic District School Board to use vacant school sitesβstarting with the former George P. Vanier buildingβfor frontline officer emergency deployment training.
π° Cascades Casino Brings $473K+ into Municipal Budget
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) issued a $473,709 payment to Chatham-Kent for hosting Cascades Casino during Q1. Total non-tax OLG revenue collected by CK has now topped $21.8 million since the facility opened.
π₯ Highgate Rock Fastball Club Set for World Tournament Debut
Local fastpitch club Highgate Rock will make their International Softball Congress (ISC) World Tournament debut next month in Chippewa of the Thames, competing as the 13th seed among a 34-team global field.
