🚨 OPP Seeks Public's Help After Sudden Death at Moraviantown

The Ontario Provincial Police are asking anyone with information to come forward after a Chatham-area resident died following an incident at Delaware Nation at Moraviantown. According to police, the person was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries on Saturday, July 25, and later died from those injuries. Middlesex County OPP has been leading the investigation since.
Weeks later, few details about what actually happened have been made public, and investigators say they need the community's help to move the case forward. No arrests or cause of death have been announced.
🗑️ Proposed Dresden Waste Facility Could Fill CK's Landfill Within a Decade
A newly proposed waste-processing facility near Dresden is raising concerns about how much longer Chatham-Kent's landfill can keep going. Early estimates suggest that if the project is approved as planned, the municipal landfill could reach capacity in under 10 years — well ahead of current projections without it.
The proposal is still working its way through review, and it's not yet clear what pushback or conditions it'll face from the municipality. But the accelerated timeline alone has residents and officials paying closer attention to CK's long-term waste plans.
