🌪️ Major Story — Confirmed: EF1 Tornado Struck Wheatley Last Week

What we knew as a tornado warning that was lifted with "no confirmed touchdown" turned out to be more than that. The Northern Tornadoes Project has now confirmed an EF1 tornado and downburst actually struck Wheatley on September 3, with maximum winds of 145 km/h along a 6.3-kilometre track. The storm caused significant damage to barns, trees, and transport trucks, and was part of a broader system that also produced a tornado in east Windsor.

Why it matters to CK: This is worth an update to what we told you last week — the storm was real and confirmed, not just a warning that passed harmlessly. If you're in the Wheatley area and haven't already checked your property for storm damage, especially outbuildings and trees, now's the time.
