🏒 Blenheim Arena and South Kent Ball Diamonds Head for Provincial Funding Applications
Chatham-Kent is preparing applications to the province's Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund for two projects: replacing the ice plant at Blenheim Memorial Arena, and building a new ball diamond complex in South Kent.
The fund's 2026 intake supports repair and rehabilitation of existing facilities through one stream, and construction of new ones through another. The arena request falls under the first and the ball diamonds under the second.
These are the two recreation projects council discussed earlier this week. Applying doesn't guarantee funding, but it's the step that puts them in line.
